The Kasagana-ka Development Center, Inc. envisions a dynamic and equitable Philippine society through the transformation of marginalized communities into vibrant sustainable communities with improved economic capabilities and greater economic independence and with capacities to address their holistic human needs. Its primary purposes are to build the capacities of the urban poor in Metro Manila and its suburbs in addressing livelihood needs of families by providing access to credit facilities, raining opportunities and other support structures in pursuing viable income-generating activities; to provide access to basic services towards the fulfillment of other basic and holistic human needs of individuals and families in urban poor communities in areas of incremental housing, education health and life insurance; and to strengthen the capacities of urban poor organizations in developing and implementing proactive and dynamic microfinance initiatives which are responsive to the needs and situations of the community.
Kasagana-ka was established in 2002. The current areas of their operations are in Quezon City, Caloocan City, Bulacan and Rizal.
