As a bridge to a prosperous tomorrow, the Mallig Plains Rural Bank (Isabela), Inc. (MPRBI) will influence an economic improvement in the lives of its borrowers, enabling them to rise from poverty, and it will become one of the leading Microfinance Oriented Banks of the Philippines. Its mission is to help the poor rural women be empowered to become entrepreneurs and improve the economic and social conditions of their families and thus contribute to the reduction of mass poverty and economic growth of the country.
Formerly known as the Rural Bank of Mallig, Inc. it was founded in 1969, and formally incorporated in the following year. It changed its corporate name in the 1980s and began its microfinance activities in 1995. By 2006, it operated 15 branches in the provinces of Isabela, Quirino and Cagayan.
