MCPI successfully organized the Microfinance Operations Staff Summit on June 10-11, 2025, at the Sheraton Manila Bay, Malate, Manila. The event was attended by almost 300 participants coming from 41 MFIs.
This objective of the summit is to build the capacity of operations staff of MFIs through learning from the experience of different MFIs. Some of the topics discussed include managing delinquency and instilling credit discipline organizing center meetings, improving loan processes and procedures, and implementing digitalization. During the summit, regulators discussed their initiatives on sustainability and sustainable finance and a microfinance client highlighted how she achieved economic empowerment through access to green finance.
